Avanti Pet Care, a subsidiary of Avanti Feeds, one of India's largest aquaculture companies, has entered the pet industry with the launch of its cat food brand.

The launch event, held March 2, 2025, was attended by over 100 veterinarians specializing in companion animals. Avanti Group noted it has provided high-quality nutrition to animals and humans alike through its shrimp feed innovation and processed shrimp products which are retailed globally.

For this venture, Avanti partnered with Thailand's Bluefalo Group, a manufacturer of pet food. The first product to be launched is a range of cat food, Avant Furst. The company plans to expand its portfolio with cat and dog food in dry, wet and treat formats by late 2025.
