Eukanuba will donate $5 from each product purchase made during September to Canine Companions as part of National Service Dog Month, the pet nutrition brand announced.
The Mars-owned brand serves as the exclusive dog food partner for Canine Companions, a relationship that began in 1991. Eukanuba said it provides science-based nutrition formulated for the specific requirements of service dogs in training and active service.
"In honor of National Service Dog Month, Eukanuba is proud to use this donation to support our longtime partner, Canine Companions," said Jason Taylor, vice president, Eukanuba. "We are honored to play a part in furthering their commitment to provide service dogs at no cost to the recipient, changing lives through greater independence."
Canine Companions, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, has placed more than 8,300 service dogs with clients since its founding. The nonprofit trains dogs to work with people with physical and cognitive disabilities, individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, and those experiencing military-related post-traumatic stress disorder.
"We are grateful to Eukanuba for honoring National Service Dog Month with this generous commitment," said Jeanine Konopelski, chief marketing officer, Canine Companions. "For decades, their dedication has fueled our service dogs and helps thousands of people experience greater independence. This support not only celebrates our shared history but also ensures more service dogs can transform lives in the future."
The donation program runs through September, with funds going directly to support Canine Companions' service dog training and placement programs.
