Tribal Pet Foods has launched a cat food line, marking the company's first expansion beyond its cold-pressed dog food products. The UK-based manufacturer introduced three grain-free recipes targeted at adult cats aged 1 year and older.

The range includes Fresh Chicken, Fresh Chicken & Trout, and Fresh Pollock & Cod sausages. Each recipe contains 70% fresh meat or fish and is gently steamed. The products include glucosamine and devil's claw for joint support and exclude grains, fillers and artificial additives.

Founded in 2017 by Oxford-trained food scientist Fatima Maktari, Tribal Pet Foods became the first UK company to cold-press fresh meat into complete dry dog food without using meat meal. The company's Fresh Pressed range is sold in more than 20 countries and has delivered more than 20 million meals.

"From day one, when we launched the first ever cold-pressed dog food made using fresh, human-grade meat, Tribal has always connected with people who want to understand what they're feeding," Maktari said. "We've built this brand on good science, simple ingredients and trust. Moving into cat food is a natural extension for us, and we took our time because we didn't want to rush it."

Tribal Pet Foods operates under the Symply Group, which oversees multiple pet care brands. James Milbourne, managing director of Symply Group, said the company plans to distribute the cat food range through specialist pet stores in the UK before expanding to other territories.
