ProAmpac reports progress on circular packaging initiatives, carbon reduction goals

Flexible packaging manufacturer marks a decade of sustainability efforts in its latest report.

Pro Ampac 2025 Sustainability ReportProAmpac, a flexible packaging and material science company, has published its 2025 Sustainability Impact Report, detailing environmental progress and outlining future commitments including a formal pledge to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) under the Net Zero Standard.

The Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.-based company, which serves pet food manufacturers among other industries, reports it now offers sustainable attributes for 100% of its product portfolio through its ProActive Sustainability platform. The company has also expanded its environmental reporting to include historical data from facilities acquired in 2024.

"As we celebrate 10 years of growth and innovation, we remain focused on what lies ahead: accelerating circular packaging, lowering our carbon footprint, and creating shared value for our employees, customers, communities, and partners," said Greg Tucker, founder, vice-chairman, and CEO. "Our journey is far from over, but with every step, our purpose becomes clearer, and our momentum stronger."

The report highlights ProAmpac's advancement of what it calls "Fiberization of Packaging," which focuses on developing fiber-based alternatives for non-recyclable packaging materials. The company has progressed scope 3 quantification and scope 1 & 2 third-party verification as part of its net zero commitment.

ProAmpac completed over 4,600 risk assessments in 2024 and expanded community engagement through global volunteer initiatives. The company's ProAmpac Employee Assistance Foundation (PEAF) has provided over $1.75 million in assistance to employees and families since 2017.
