Pooch & Mutt expands, rebrands Purr & Meow cat range

Pooch & Mutt is expanding its Purr & Meow cat food line with new recipes, formats and life-stage options as part of a broader rebrand announced by the company.

The UK-based pet food manufacturer said the expansion builds on a January rebrand in which it introduced a company-wide promise to serve "all breeds & needs." The company said that promise, initially applied to its dog food lines, will now extend to its cat products.

Pooch & MuttPurr & Meow previously offered a more limited selection compared with the company's dog food range, which includes treats, chews, and wet and dry formulas. The company said the new cat lineup will offer additional recipes across life stages, including options positioned for kittens, senior cats, indoor cats and outdoor cats.

The reformulated recipes include prebiotics, postbiotics, psyllium husk, apple and Mojave yucca, according to the company. Purr & Meow will be sold under two lines, Superfoods and Primal, with multiple flavors within each.

The company said the products are formulated without added sugar and are grain-free. The recipes are also positioned as free of artificial colors and flavors, according to the company.
