Petfood Industry spoke with Dr. Rosemary Waring, chief science officer at Tharos, a UK-based animal health business, about a new approach to animal gut health called anabiomics. The company, which focuses on the animal microbiome, launched a patented barley-derived natural enzyme supplement (CaniNectar) into the dog pet segment after three years of research conducted in horses.
