CompletePet, a developer, formulator and manufacturer of pet wellness products including soft chews, topical liquids and sprays, dental solutions, oils, powders and other custom formats, has been sold by Align Capital Partners (ACP) to Blue Sea Capital.
"When I joined the company, I was fortunate to inherit a business with a strong culture, loyal customer relationships and an outstanding foundation built by the Martinez Family," said Worth Turner, CEO of CompletePet. "ACP proved to be the ideal partner to build on that legacy. Their consistent strategic support, shared belief in our vision and commitment to investing in our people and capabilities enabled us to pursue and achieve our ambitions for the business.
"Together, we transformed CompletePet into a stronger, more scalable organization while remaining true to the culture and customer focus that have always defined us," added Turner.
ACP partnered with Custom Veterinary Services in 2021, later rebranding the business as CompletePet to reflect its expanded manufacturing footprint and leadership position in the pet wellness industry.
"The company's success is ultimately a reflection of the talented team that embraced an ambitious growth strategy and executed it exceptionally well," said Rob Langley, ACP co-founder and managing partner. "Over the course of our five-year investment period, we partnered with management to drive exceptional organic growth at two-to-three times the market rates while investing heavily in the people, processes and infrastructure to scale. The business evolved from a single-facility operation into one of the industry's leading formulation and manufacturing partners, creating substantial value for customers, employees and shareholders alike."
In 2025, the company acquired Green Mountain Animal in 2025, adding a second manufacturing facility and expanding the company's geographic reach. The acquisition made CompletePet the industry's only dual-facility provider in its category, according to the company; headquarters can be found in Miami, Florida, with an additional facility in Milton, Vermont.
"When we partnered with the company in 2021, we saw the growth potential of the pet wellness market and the opportunity alongside management to create a leading platform focused on improving the lives and wellness of pets," said Jack Parks, ACP partner.
"CompletePet's growth from a single 55,000-square-foot facility with just over 125 employees into a diversified platform with more than 350,000 square feet of capacity and over 500 team members is a tremendous accomplishment," Parks said. "That kind of transformation only happens when exceptional people are united around a shared commitment to serving customers and building a great business."
