Polish cat food maker 3coty is expanding its portfolio with new products for cats and preparing to launch a range of products for dogs, while advancing plans to grow its international presence in North American and Asian markets.
Agnieszka Sobczyńska, co-founder of 3coty, said the company relaunched its online store earlier this year and expanded its brick-and-mortar presence through partnerships with retailers in Poland and Finland.
"Relaunching the store consumed a lot of our energy and efforts this year, but we have a number of new products underway, and many more ideas that we want to implement," Sobczyńska said.
Marcin Kindler, co-founder of 3coty, said the brand offers products for cats of all life stages, from kitten to senior.
"We have several product ranges, including Digestive, Immuno and Dental Care," Kindler said. "One of our recent launches are new products added to the Cheers! line, it's a nutritious and natural broth for cats which is a perfect addition to meals. Meanwhile, we also want to introduce one or two basic products for dogs to our offer, as we have already tested how dogs like our high-quality pet food, and the feedback is very positive."
Kindler said 3coty is seeing growing interest in its products in the U.S. and plans to enter the U.S. market in cooperation with a local business partner.
"We also have a project for 2026 which is to enter Dubai, and from there expand across the United Arab Emirates," he said. "We also have a license to sell our pet food in the Chinese market, we use it to sell our output there. This said, we are seeing the largest sales dynamic in Poland where we are based, and this is very encouraging. Polish clients are increasingly demanding with regards to quality, but they are also ready to pay a premium for it."
3coty produces cat food made with 100% poultry meat at its production facility in Pruszków, near Warsaw. The company's monoprotein and duoprotein cat food is formulated for cats with diabetes and allergies.
Vafo Group invests in microbiome research laboratory
Czech Republic's Vafo Group announced that Pooch & Mutt, its pet food and health brand, has acquired a new laboratory at AberInnovation, a campus focused on agritech and biotech research.
Pooch & Mutt acquired BIOME9 earlier this year, a microbiome research company for veterinary partners across the UK. The acquisition allows the brand to offer an at-home Gut Health Test that uses science, research and AI to analyze dogs' microbiomes to identify current or potential health issues.
The new facility, located alongside the University of Aberystwyth and Aberystwyth Vet School, will house all BIOME9 laboratory operations in-house.
The company said the move will strengthen the scientific foundation behind Pooch & Mutt's Gut Health Test, with improved accuracy, faster turnaround times and expanded research capacity for product innovation.
The value of the investment was not disclosed.
Vafo Group operates nine production facilities in Europe with offices in the Czech Republic, Austria, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Poland, the UK and Estonia.
