AAFCO donates 2025 Official Publication copies to support education

The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) announced it will donate remaining copies of its 2025 Official Publication to state and federal agencies, academic animal science programs and students. This initiative aims to expand access to regulatory information and support the next generation of agriculture and animal nutrition professionals.

The Official Publication serves as a critical resource for those working in the feed and pet food sectors, offering ingredient definitions, model regulations and guidance documents essential for compliance and product development. The print edition typically retails for $45 for AAFCO members and $75 for non-members.

By offering these copies at no cost—aside from shipping and handling—AAFCO is encouraging universities, laboratories and regulatory organizations to integrate the publication into coursework, training programs or resource libraries.

“This is a unique opportunity for institutions and students to access an essential industry resource,” the organization stated. “We hope this helps foster a deeper understanding of feed and pet food regulatory frameworks.”

To request copies of the 2025 Official Publication, interested parties should contact AAFCO at [email protected]. Supplies are limited, and requests will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.

This donation effort reflects AAFCO’s broader mission to promote uniformity in feed regulation and support ongoing education in the industry. By placing this information directly in the hands of future professionals, AAFCO aims to strengthen regulatory literacy and industry readiness across the animal feed and pet food sectors.
