Manna Pro Products, a St. Louis-based manufacturer and marketer of pet care and nutrition products, will acquire Dinovite, Inc., a 20-year-old family-owned and operated online pet brand that offers premium whole food supplements and wellness products for dogs and cats. Once known mostly for poultry feed and other livestock products, Manna Pro, which was acquired by the Carlyle Group in 2020, has been expanding into dog, cat and other pet markets.

The acquisition of Dinovite follows several Manna Pro acquisitions of online-focused brands as part of the company’s omnichannel transformation and acceleration. Pet has been one of the fastest-growing categories online, with pet ownership and engagement accelerating during the pandemic and maintaining growth in 2021. Manna Pro’s online market share across its major categories grew 31% in 2021 as of July 21, according to data from Nielsen, compared to 9% for those categories in general.
