A blind taste test done by the American Association of Wine Economists found that organic dog food tastes similar to human food, according to an article from CBS News.
AAWE put organic Newman's Own dog food alongside duck liver mousse, pork liver paÌ‚teÌ, liverwurst and spam in separate bowls and only three out of the 18 people who tasted the samples could correctly identify the dog food.
"Although human beings do not enjoy eating dog food, they are also not able to distinguish its flavor profile from other meat-based products that are intended for human consumption," AAWE concluded in its report.
