Provimi Pet Food announced it saw increased sales growth in the first half of 2010 thanks to strong demand for premium quality petfoods.
The company recorded 115 million Euros (US$161.7 million) in sales from January to June, which was a 6% increase over the first half of 2009. The company attributes the increase to large retail supplier contracts acquired across Europe and double-digit growth in several European countries, including 190% in Russia, 26% in Poland and 20% in Romania. Looking ahead to 2011, Provimi predicts strong growth, supported by investment in emerging sectors and a focus on increasing production capacity for dry products and snacks.
