GA Pet Food Partners will move into a new 200,000-square-foot petfood distribution center near Chorley, Lancashire, UK, in June 2011.
The distribution facility has a capacity for 32,000 pallet spaces, which the company says means that all of its finished petfood will now be at the same facility. GA’s new distribution center also incorporates 16,000 square feet of offices, housing the company's logistics, sales and customer care teams.
"Not only does GA’s new DC deliver excellent efficiencies for our customers and GA, its construction and development has also been consistent with the key environmental targets that are at the foundation of GA’s sustainability plan," said John Blackett, GA’s managing director.
