Petfood packaging manufacturer Nordenia International is investing nearly €3 million (US$4.35 million) to construct a new factory building for extrusion at its Osterburken, Germany, site. The building, expected to be completed in mid-July, will be the site of the company's new three-layer coextruding facility.
After the expansion of capacities, the company will add employees and increase its production volume at the plant to nearly 26,000 metric tons per year, according to Nordenia.
"With the continued expansion of our production capacities, we will be able to meet the requirements of our customers all over Europe even more successfully in the future,” said Andreas Paul, managing director. "An investment of this volume is also a clear commitment from the Group regarding the Osterburken site.”
