Achieving GMP+ certification at the Findlay plant aligns the quality certifications of Hamlet’s plants globally. This alignment allows Hamlet Protein to serve its customers all over the world with a unified and globally recognized quality standard. Nevertheless, regional differences in standards recognition exist, and Hamlet Protein works with individual customers if additional certifications are required. There are also important mutual recognitions between different quality systems that help expand the reach of certification in one system. The best example of this is the Memorandum of Understanding between GMP+ and FAMI-QS, where companies certified under one system have reciprocal recognition under the other system.

This latest certification is in addition to Hamlet Protein’s ISO 22000:2005 certification which has been in place in its Findlay plant since December 16, 2013.
