One example of catering to such pet owners is animal rights activist Marilyn Murray. She has opened a new "ethical" pet store in Canada, For the Love of Animals.

An ethical pet store, as defined by  The Toronto Observer , sells petfoods, toys and accessories that are made with all-natural products according to a set of environmental standards.
