Instituto Pet Brasil hosts event to support pet product exporters

Free virtual conference from July 15–18 will address the Latin American market, e-commerce and female entrepreneurship in the Arab world, and more.

Instituto Pet Brasil, in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), will hold the fifth edition of the International Pet Meeting July 15–18, offering free online training to help Brazilian pet companies expand globally.

"This is a propitious moment to create connections and seek international space," said Caio Villela, executive president of Instituto Pet Brasil. "Our mission is to prepare Brazilian companies, of all sizes, offering the regulatory knowledge and necessary strategies for a successful expansion."

The four-day event features sessions tailored to different exporter profiles:

  • July 15: Guidance for small- and mid-sized companies beginning to export, featuring Danilo Kamimura, auditor for Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA).
  • July 16: A focus on Colombia, Brazil’s top pet product export destination, with regulatory insights from MAPA attaché Clóvis Serafini and lawyer Cláudia Horta.
  • July 17: A session on international e-commerce, led by Felipe Hurtado of Miami-based Agriglobal Market.
  • July 18: A spotlight on female entrepreneurship and export opportunities in Arab markets, including a study on Saudi Arabia presented by Camila Flores (Unisinos) and Alessandra Frisso (Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce).

Brazil’s pet product exports grew 29% in 2024 to $580.58 million, according to IPB. Sessions will be recorded and made available to participants. For more information, click here.
