New American Egg Board (AEB) members and alternates were sworn in by the USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service at the AEB’s spring 2023 board meeting. The AEB is composed of 36 egg farmers—18 members and 18 alternates. The AEB also elected its new executive committee, presented by a nominating committee and unanimously approved by the board.
Earlier this year, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture reappointed the following members and alternates for another two-year term:

- Bruce Dooyema, Sioux Center, Iowa
- Ted Greidanus, Neosho, Mo.
- Thomas Hertzfeld III, Grand Rapids, Ohio

- Tracy Ramsdell, Flandreau, S.D.
- Gijs Schimmel, Lexington, Ga.
