One global supplier of vitamins is warning of likely supply issues and price volatility for these products in the coming months, with rising cost of sea freight exacerbating the situation.

Looking ahead, a “perfect storm” looks likely to hit the global market for vitamins in the coming months, according to DSM-Firmenich.

As well as strong demand, the company reports suspended production for plant maintenance and other supply interruptions by some of the world’s leading vitamin manufacturers.
