Polish pet food maker Tropical is making efforts to broaden its product range, according to company representatives.
Agnieszka Idziak, marketing manager at Tropical, told Petfood Industry the company is building on as many as 47 years of experience in the pet food market, adding new products to its portfolio of five brands.
“Tropical’s first products were for fish and terraria. Since then, we have expanded our offer to include products for small animals, dogs and cats,” she said. “Some of our latest launches include Tropical’s Geko Cream, a product that has already received prizes and is enjoying a rising interest by our customers.”
“In addition to this, we have also launched a new range of snacks for dogs under our TropiDog brand. To date, we have produced dog food and oils for dogs, but this latest launch allowed us to introduce snacks with salmon, beef, veal and duck meat. They have a high, 95 percent content of meat,” according to Idziak.
The marketing manager added, as part of Tropical brand for fish, the pet food company has also rolled out Red Mico color sticks in the new XXS size.
The manufacturer describes this product as a color-enhancing food intended “for small species of omnivorous and carnivorous aquarium fish, in the form of micro sticks with a diameter of 0.4 mm, the shape of which resembles a small bloodworm, the so-called 'red mosquito larva' (an insect from the Chironomidae family).”
The company’s pet food brands include: Tropical food and products for fish, aquarium, pond and terrarium; Tropifit products for rodents, small mammals and birds; TropiDog foods for dogs; and TropiCat foods for cats, according to data from the business.
In addition to the Polish market, Tropical sells its output to around 80 markets across the world.
“We continue to develop our export sales, and we strive to introduce all five of our brands globally, alongside our main brand Tropical,” the marketing manager said. “Through continouous development of products and production technologiies, Tropical not only responds to market needs, but also cares for the environment. We take responsibility for our actions.”
Normandise Pet Food creates jobs to launch new production line
French manufacturer Normandise Pet Food is recruiting new employees for the company’s factory amid plans to launch a new production line in November 2024.
Normandise Pet Food has teamed up with packaging giant Tetra Pak to start using its solutions for its pet food. This necessitates opening a new production line, but also hiring new employees for the pet food firm’s plant.
With the new investment in mind, Normandise Pet Food is seeking new hires for various positions. These include production line operators, maintenance specialists, industrial electricians, but also managers and quality engineers, accordint to the information obtained by local daily Ouest-France.
Established in 1991 by French entrepreneurs Christian Duquesne and Catherine Duquesne, the business operates a factory in Vire Normandie, in the country’s north-western region. The business is currently operated by a workforce of about 800 employees.
Normandise Pet Food makes a wide range of pet food products for cats and dogs. These comprise “tailor-made products based on animal and vegetable ingredients, in the form of pate, mousses, fillets packed in trays, and also chunks, fillets in sauce or in jelly, packed in pouches, i.e. freshness bags,” according to the French firm.
Normandise Pet Food sells its products under a number of brands. These include Equilibre & Instinct, Les Repas Plaisir, Eco Diana, and Eco Oscar, among others, as indicated by data from the pet food company.
