IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients named Anna Macht as its new North American sales manager on January 13.

With over 17 years of experience at numerous companies in the Canadian pet food industry, Macht brings an impressive amount of knowledge of animal nutrition and well-being to the IQI sales team. With her past experience as an account and sales manager, understanding challenges and providing solutions for pet food brands and manufacturers has become second nature to her. Macht has often personally provided tailored advice and support to brands navigating canine and feline health and wellness issues.

“Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for animals – which led me to pursue a career in the pet industry,” says Macht. “Having pretty much grown up in the pet food industry, I find it incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact that quality pet food ingredients have on the health and well-being of cats and dogs, as well as pet parents. At IQI, I hope to further increase my knowledge on pet health and interact with other influential members of the pet food industry.”

Arjan van Waes, IQI’s global sales director, said Macht brings an in-depth knowledge of pet nutrition and a strong network. “Her 17-plus years of industry experience and energetic approach perfectly align with our commitment to providing excellent service to our customers," said van Waes. "With Anna on board, we’re more equipped than ever to support our customers’ needs and deliver innovative solutions to the pet nutrition industry."

With OSI as the new owner of IQI, numerous synergies are possible for mutual collaboration to introduce new products, innovative concepts, and process capabilities to elevate the offerings of our customers in the pet industry to the next level, noted the company. Thanks to OSI’s vertically integrated supply chain of beef, poultry, pork, tomato and potato products, IQI can access numerous internal sources and forms of raw materials – becoming part of a network of over 50 OSI production sites in 20 countries, with hundreds of suppliers and customers.

“Anna’s appointment illustrates IQI’s dedication to providing valuable technical expertise and pet food industry experience in the North American market,” says Chris Schneider, IQI’s North American sales director. “With Anna joining the North American sales team, we look forward to continuing to grow our presence by offering unique and novel solutions to our current and prospective pet food customers.”
