United Petfood has officially earned a Guinness World Record for producing the world’s largest dog biscuit, weighing in at 515.6 kilograms (1,137 pounds) and measuring 5.95 meters long by 1.89 meters wide and 4.5 centimeters thick.
The record-breaking biscuit was created at the company’s Coevorden facility in the Netherlands and revealed during a company event attended by employees from all Dutch branches.
“At United Petfood, we constantly strive to push boundaries and embrace innovation,” said Ruben Bosman, general manager at United Petfood Coevorden. “This record is a fantastic example of what teamwork and passion can achieve. We are extremely proud of this result and of everyone who contributed to this success.”
Following the event, the biscuit was divided into smaller portions. Employees were invited to take pieces home for their dogs, and the remainder was donated to local animal shelters.
As part of the celebration, United Petfood also launched a social media campaign encouraging pet owners to share photos of their dogs using the hashtags #UnitedPetfood and #BiggestDogBiscuit. On May 30, 20 participants will be randomly selected to receive gift packages that include a piece of the giant treat.
