The North American Renderers Association (NARA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Animal and Fishery Resources (MIRAH) of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to establish formal collaboration on animal feed and rendering industry development.

The five-year agreement creates a framework for cooperation focused on science-based standards, regulatory harmonization and technical knowledge exchange to support growth and modernization of Côte d'Ivoire's animal feed and rendering sectors.

Under the MOU, NARA and MIRAH will collaborate on rendered animal protein trade facilitation while advancing public and animal health objectives. Specific cooperation areas include regulatory development and reform, government-to-government engagement, technical training programs, study tours, data sharing, market research, and outreach on rendered product safety and benefits.

"We are honored to partner with MIRAH in support of their efforts to modernize animal feed regulations and promote safe, sustainable feed ingredients," said Kent Swisher, president and CEO of NARA. "This MOU underscores our shared commitment to international collaboration, innovation, and building resilient food systems."
