Beginning in October, all pet food goods transported between Hydropac, its warehouse and customers will be delivered under a verified carbon-neutral transport model, excluding courier-handled pallets. The partnership addresses carbon reduction goals for pet food manufacturers and distributors while maintaining cold chain reliability for temperature-sensitive products.
"Reliability and sustainability must work hand in hand," said Colin Rowland, managing director at Hydropac. "Partnering with Mobile Logistics allows us to offer clients the confidence of carbon-neutral distribution without compromising on the performance and precision the cold chain demands."
Mobile People.Powered.Logistics has achieved certified carbon neutrality, verified by Carbon Neutral Britain under ISO 14064 greenhouse gas protocols and managed under ISO 14001 environmental systems. The company offsets residual emissions through independently verified programs and has committed to achieving zero-emissions status by 2037.
The partnership combines Hydropac's recyclable temperature-control packaging with Mobile's carbon-neutral haulage model. Hydropac's packaging technologies include FreshPac, RecycleAir, RecycleAir and seal-through-liquid ice packs.
Pet food manufacturers using Hydropac can reference verified carbon-neutral logistics in ESG and Scope 3 reporting. The partnership aligns with UK and EU sustainability frameworks.
"Partnering with a verified carbon-neutral haulier like Mobile Logistics is more than a badge – it's a measurable step toward cleaner operations and a more transparent supply chain," Rowland said. "Together, we're building a colder, cleaner and more sustainable future for temperature-sensitive logistics."
