After a decade in the cat treat category, Inaba Foods is expanding to dogs with Churu Terrine, a portable, high-moisture treat formulated with psyllium seed husk for digestive support.

Inaba Foods unveiled Churu Terrine at Global Pet Expo in Orlando. The treat is scheduled to be available in June 2026.

The company, which introduced tube-style lickable cat treats to the U.S. market 10 years ago, said Churu Terrine applies a similar format to the dog category. The product features a soft, high-moisture terrine-style texture and is designed for portability during walks, travel, training and outdoor use. It is low in calories and fat and includes psyllium seed husk for digestive support.

"Churu changed how people think about treating their cats," said Francois de Ginestet, director of sales and marketing, Inaba Foods USA. "With Churu Terrine, we're bringing that same spirit of innovation and quality to the dog category — a treat that's convenient, hydrating and designed for today's active pet lifestyles and creating bonding moments between dogs and pet parents."

Churu Terrine will launch in eight flavors: Chicken Recipe; Chicken Recipe with Beef; Chicken Recipe with Cheese; Chicken Recipe with Peanut Butter Flavor; Pumpkin Recipe; Sweet Potato Recipe; Salmon Recipe; and Salmon Recipe with Tuna.

The product will be available in three sizes: small (0.53 oz), medium (1.05 oz) and large (1.90 oz).

"Our intent was always to build a global company that delights families and their pets, and while our story in Japan is known in more households, it's what we're doing today in the U.S. after 10 years that we're excited to celebrate and promote with a year worth of events, promotions and activities," said Yoko Sakugawa, vice president of operations at Inaba Foods USA.
