Adisseo published an updated version of its Microvit Nutrition Guide, offering vitamin supplementation recommendations for feed manufacturers across multiple animal species.

The guide presents minimum and maximum recommended levels for fat-soluble vitamins A, D3, E and K3, plus water-soluble vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12 and vitamin C in feed. The recommendations cover 18 species, including poultry, swine, horses, ruminants, pets and aquatic species, across 35 developmental stages.

Adisseo based the recommendations on technical and scientific publications from the past 30 years, supplemented by the company's research and experience from consultants and the feed industry.

The guide addresses factors affecting vitamin supplementation needs, including animal growth rates, immune system requirements in antibiotic-free feeding situations and heat stress. Feed processing conditions, such as higher temperatures and longer heat treatment times, also require compensatory vitamin doses.

According to the company, Adisseo has produced vitamins for over 70 years. The company operates six research centers and production sites in Europe, the U.S., China and Thailand. Adisseo serves approximately 4,200 customers in over 110 countries and employs more than 3,000 people.
