Evelia Davis, VP of dog and cat consumables for PetSmart, will lead off the second day of Petfood Forum 2016, focusing on how recent changes in pet parenting and pet trends drive us to better understand pet owners and their pets, and become solution providers rather than just sellers of dog and cat food. Speaking on April 20, Davis will also discuss how this approach can add value for pet parents by increasing the relevance, credibility and trustworthiness of pet food manufacturers, retailers and products.

Petfood Forum 2016 will take place April 18-20 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. Now in its 24th year, this exclusive event for the global pet food manufacturing and marketing industry offers two days of conference sessions presented by pet food experts, plus a full exhibit hall and multiple networking opportunities, including meals, coffee breaks and receptions. In addition, visiting pet charities on April 19 will help pet food professionals in attendance give back to the greater pet community.

Davis will be followed on April 20 by Jackie McClaskey, secretary of agriculture for the state of Kansas, who will provide insights into how pet food businesses can work with state and local governments. On April 19, Victoria Stilwell, star of It’s Me or the Dog on Animal Planet and judge on CBS’s Greatest American Dog, will deliver the opening keynote, followed by Maria Lange of GfK presenting a pet food market update, “Making sense of pet food specialty trends in 2016.”

Advance registration for Petfood Forum 2016 is available. Pet food professionals who also register for Petfood Innovation Workshop: Meat and Novel Proteins, scheduled for April 18, will enjoy savings on their registration.
