
The J.M. Smucker Co. and its subsidiary Big Heart Pet Brands Inc. are expanding their Topeka, Kansas, U.S., manufacturing facility with a $20.5 million investment. The project includes $17.8 million in real property capital investment and $2.7 million in equipment.
According to GO Topeka, the Joint Economic Development Organization board of Topeka and Shawnee County approved $383,000 in economic development incentives to support the expansion.
"We are excited to continue to expand our operations in Topeka to support the consumers who count on our beloved brands, including Meow Mix and Milk-Bone, and the dedicated workforce that works diligently to continue to deliver these high-quality products," said Luke Livingston, director of operations at The J.M. Smucker Co. "Our facility has been part of the Topeka community for more than 55 years and this investment represents our commitment to continue to grow together."
The facility produces pet food brands including Meow Mix and Milk-Bone.

Their core portfolio currently features top brands like Meow Mix cat food and Milk-Bone dog snacks, alongside others.
