Demand for pet products that allow shared use across food, health and grooming is high among households with multiple pets in Asia-Pacific today, according to TGM Research's Global Pet Care Insights 2026 (APAC) report.

Pet ownership in the region is now characterized by multi-pet households, with 57% having two or more pets compared with 42% owning just one. As a result, multi-pet owners have become bargain hunters, favoring bundles, combos and buy-one-take-one deals to provide for their pets. Product lines built around bundles, cross-pet compatibility, flexible pricing structures and simplified subscriptions are expected to see faster growth.

Another firm, Ken Research, said pet care bundles and subscription models perform strongest in consumable pet food and routine hygiene items such as shampoo. The firm also said automated fulfillment and "subscribe-and-save" bundle models are key drivers of retailer retention across regional e-commerce platforms such as Shopee Philippines and Lazada.

APAC market valued at more than $49 billion

The APAC pet care market is valued at more than $49 billion. The bundled product segment falls under the broader e-commerce and subscription-based retail market. Online sales account for roughly 22% to 44% of total retail pet care value in APAC, depending on the country, Ken Research said.

Multi-pet households are also keen on practicality, so they choose solutions that fit their living spaces, routines and time constraints. TGM Research said brands that offer multi-pet households space-efficient designs, easy maintenance and clear functional benefits are likely to outperform those whose positioning relies on aspiration alone.

"Emotional connection remains the foundation of pet ownership across the region," noted TGM Research. "The connection is now reinforced by solutions that cut everyday friction for the household. Brands that help owners manage costs, maintain health across multiple pets, and solve care challenges during travel or busy periods are best positioned to stay relevant as pet ownership becomes more complex and integrated into everyday life."

In everyday categories like pet food, this friction reduction directly shapes brand loyalty, as satisfaction and repeat purchase are driven by reliability, perceived value and trust, TGM's report said.
