The City of Ogden, Utah, USA, has dropped a citation and US$125 fine against American Nutrition because the company agreed to comply with a city ordinance prohibiting the emission of odorous air contaminants, according to an article from Standard-Examiner .
American Nutrition was cited in March for the smell coming from its plant, but the citation and fine were dropped when the company agreed to increase the amount of a neutralizing agent added to the plant's discharge plume by 10%, said John Patterson, Odgen chief administrative officer.
