Butcher’s Pet Care opened a new £38 million (US$60.2 million) petfood manufacturing plant in Crick, Northamptonshire, UK.
The 260,000-square-foot facility increases the petfood company's capacity by nearly 50 percent or 5 million cans extra per week. Through its increased capacity, the company hopes to strengthen its position in the UK as well as in export markets.
“For the last 25 years, local people have helped us grow the business to where it is today. Their support will be vital to us achieving our ambitious growth in the next 25 years,” said chairman, Graham Baker.
