Diamond Pet Food may expand their production facility in Ripon, California, USA, reported the Manteca Bulletin. Diamond will need a permit from the San Joaquin Air Pollution Control District before construction can proceed. The proposed expansion will include new equipment, including odor control devices.
Residents began complaining of odor from the plant after is opened in 2013, according to the report. Earlier odor control measures failed to mitigate the problem, to the consternation of city officials.

Pet food manufacturer Diamond Pet Foods opened a manufacturing facility in Ripon, California, USA, creating more than 75 jobs, the company said.
The pet food manufacturing facility, the company's fourth, created jobs in manufacturing, quality control, administration and maintenance. The company said it expanded its production to better-serve its growing West Coast customers.
Diamond Pet Foods purchased the facility, previously owned by Neenah Paper, in 2010. Diamond renovated the facility over approximately 20 months using local contractors. It was expanded to include additional buildings, including a mill tower for petfood ingredient storage. The 150-acre Ripon facility also features an on-site solar farm, which the company says provides 20 percent of its power.
