City firefighters rescued a man March 16 at a petfood factory in El Paso, Texas, USA who was in danger of suffocating inside a tank containing a dog food ingredient, according to an  article  by the  El Paso Times .

The trapped man, a seven-year employee for Pet's Barn/Valley Pet Food, was trapped for more than 30 minutes before he was removed by firefighters.

The employee, whom Pet's Barn/Valley Pet Food owner Dean Travis identified only as "Beto," was attempting to unclog a hole in the tank, which stores a wheat ingredient used in making dog food.

"He was trained to climb into the tank from the top and climb down the ladder, which is the proper procedure," Travis said. "Instead, he tried to reach the inside of the tank with a ladder from the bottom. Sure enough, the wheat product came loose and trapped him chest-high."

During the rescue, a hole was cut into the side of the storage tank to let some of the wheat drain out, according to fire officials.
