According to Euromonitor, economic recovery is still uncertain in 2013, with global GDP expected to grow by 3.5 percent but countries such as the US and Japan still struggling with high unemployment and recession. Although pet care remained resilient, challenges still loom. Pet humanization is driving pet owners to treat their pets, but the post-recession consumer is more price sensitive.
