PetRepublic, a Polish wet pet food manufacturer and part of the LipCo Foods Group, is celebrating its third year of operations. Based in Koluszki, the company said it has built a reputation for quality, earning the trust of pet owners in 30 countries and establishing itself as one of the most technologically advanced pet food producers in Europe.
Since launching production in December 2021, PetRepublic has introduced nearly 400 products under its proprietary PetRepublic and Frendi brands. The company exports to markets across the European Union, Africa and the Middle East, while also producing private label products for leading Polish retail chains.
“The PetRepublic plant in Koluszki is one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Europe. On an area of 12,000 square meters, we use advanced production technologies that allow us to achieve the highest standards of quality and safety while taking care of the environment,” said Jaroslaw Kowalewski, CEO of PetRepublic and head of the LipCo Foods PetFood segment.
Kowalewski highlighted the plant’s sustainability features, including a closed-water cycle, photovoltaic installations and a heat recovery system that reduces energy consumption and emissions. The facility currently operates three automated production lines for canned and sachet foods, with a fourth line set to be installed.
The company’s growth has been supported by nearly PLN 90 million (US$22 million) in investments. The first phase, completed in 2021, provided an annual production capacity of 25,000 tons. By 2025, with the addition of new production lines, capacity is expected to reach 56,000 tons per year.
In just two years, PetRepublic has created more than 200 jobs, assembling a team of experienced professionals in the pet food industry, the company noted.
As part of the LipCo Foods Multifood Group, PetRepublic said it benefits from access to high-quality raw materials and a broad network of international customers. LipCo Foods operates across 11 FMCG segments, including pet food, poultry, fish and seafood, ready meals, plant-based products and beverages.
