Pet owners across Canada will now be able to experience same-day delivery of pet essentials through Instacart, thanks to a partnership between the grocery technology company and Pet Valu, a specialty retailer of pet food and supplies. The collaboration allows customers to shop from over 600 Pet Valu locations across the country, with deliveries available in as fast as one hour.
Through the Instacart app or website, Canadians can browse a wide range of pet products, including food, treats, toys and accessories, from Pet Valu and its affiliated brands — Bosley’s by Pet Valu, Paulmac’s, Total Pet and Tisol. This launch marks Instacart’s largest partnership with a pet retailer in Canada, significantly expanding its reach by adding over 500 new stores to its platform. Earlier this year, the companies began rolling out services in Ontario and British Columbia, covering 100 locations.
“We know how much Canadians love their pets, so we’re thrilled to expand our presence with Pet Valu, Canada’s largest specialty pet retailer,” said Blake Wallace, senior director of Retail Partnerships at Instacart. “Whether you’re welcoming a new pet to your family, restocking everyday pet essentials, or splurging on your pet’s favorite treat, customers can find whatever they need for their pets all in one place with Instacart, delivered right to their door with speed and ease.”
Tanbir Grover, chief digital and marketing officer at Pet Valu, emphasized the convenience the partnership brings to customers. “At Pet Valu, we’re committed to creating seamless shopping experiences for our devoted pet lovers so they can spend more quality time with their pets,” Grover said. “Joining forces with Instacart allows us to expand our availability through a new channel and bring our large selection of high-quality pet goods to more pet parents across Canada, while providing the convenience of same-day delivery.”
This expanded service aims to make shopping for pet essentials more accessible and efficient, offering busy pet owners a reliable option to meet their needs quickly.
