Packaged Feeds has partnered with FreezeM to incorporate its PauseM product — a solution containing suspended black soldier fly (BSF) neonates with a 14-day shelf life — into its insect farming process. The companies said this partnership marks a key step in scaling Packaged Feeds' innovative, modular rearing systems that convert organic surplus into high-quality protein and other byproducts. FreezeM will initially supply PauseM from its facility in Germany, and the companies are planning to establish a FreezeM breeding hub in England to support the expanding UK market.
"Choosing PauseM was a strategic decision that will enhance both our efficiency and scalability," said Adam Bensusan, Packaged Feeds’s sales director. "This partnership enables us to meet growing demand, expand operations, reduce complexity and ensure sustainability while delivering top-quality solutions."
Yuval Gilad, CEO and co-founder of FreezeM, added, "Our growing collaborations over the past year highlight that the future of BSF farming lies in a decoupled model, with BSF breeding delivered through PauseM — a ready-to-use, high-quality and consistent solution. Our collaboration with Packaged Feeds is a key step in shaping that future, enabling scalable, efficient, and sustainable insect farming systems."
