Farmina Pet Foods has entered into a national distribution agreement with MWI Animal Health, a veterinary supply company owned by Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen). The partnership will make Farmina's VetLife therapeutic diet line available to veterinary practices throughout the U.S. through MWI's distribution network.

The agreement covers Farmina's complete VetLife portfolio, which includes formulations targeting dermatological, renal, gastrointestinal, urinary and metabolic conditions in dogs and cats. The therapeutic diets are manufactured with non-GMO ingredients and contain no artificial preservatives.

"This partnership with MWI is an important step in expanding access to our VetLife therapeutic diets which are formulated with high-quality, natural ingredients and backed by scientific research," said Loris Rinaldi, CEO of Farmina Pet Foods North America. "With MWI's trusted reputation in the veterinary community, more pets will benefit from targeted nutritional solutions designed to support their health and well-being."

Farmina, based in Italy, has been expanding its U.S. veterinary presence in recent years. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Italy, Brazil and Serbia, with products distributed in more than 70 countries. In June, the company opened its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Reidsville, North Carolina, marking a $115 million investment expected to create 200 jobs over five years.

"MWI is committed to providing veterinary practices with innovative, clinically supported solutions to enhance patient care," said Steve Shell, president of MWI. "By adding Farmina VetLife to our offerings, we're helping veterinarians provide pet owners with trusted, science-driven nutrition."

MWI Animal Health serves veterinary practices, livestock producers and pet retailers across the U.S. through multiple distribution channels. The company is a division of Cencora, a pharmaceutical and healthcare services corporation.
