Smalls cat food launches in Mud Bay stores

The fresh cat food brand expands retail availability to over 60 Pacific Northwest locations in the U.S.

Smalls, a fresh cat food company founded in 2017, has begun selling its gently cooked products at more than 60 Mud Bay retail stores across Washington and Oregon. The company said the partnership represents Smalls' continued expansion into physical retail locations in the U.S.

Smalls produces human-grade cat food that is sold frozen. The company's products are now available in the freezer section at participating Mud Bay locations. Cat owners can use Smalls' store locator on its website to find the nearest participating store.

"Smalls is thrilled to partner with Mud Bay, a retailer that cares as deeply about pets and their families as we do," said Jason Simmons, general manager of retail at Smalls. "Together, we're not just putting food on shelves; we're helping cat parents feel confident they're feeding their pets the very best food possible. It's a partnership rooted in love for animals and a shared mission to make every cat's life healthier and happier."

Jennifer Bratton, senior category manager of food at Mud Bay added, "We're thrilled to partner with Smalls because they truly understand cats and their unique needs. With a variety of textures and proteins, Smalls is a great option for cat owners seeking moisture-rich diets at a price point that offers a practical alternative to traditional canned foods. We're also seeing more customers looking for fresh and gently cooked options, which makes this cat-first brand an exciting addition to our stores."

Smalls specializes in high-protein cat food formulations. The company was established in New York City and focuses exclusively on feline nutrition products.

Mud Bay is an independent, family- and employee-owned pet food and supplies retailer operating in the Pacific Northwest. The company's staff members are known as "Muddies."
