Agrolimen announced the acquisition of Ollie, a fresh, human-grade dog food brand based in New York City. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2016, Ollie produces veterinary-backed fresh dog food with personalized nutrition plans and operates a national cold-chain distribution infrastructure. The company previously received backing from Primary Venture Partners, Canaan Partners, Quadrille Capital, ECP Growth and Lerer Hippeau.
"Ollie was built on a simple but ambitious belief: that transforming what dogs eat can transform their lives," said Nick Stafford, CEO of Ollie. "As pet parents across the U.S. push for higher standards in nutrition, the transaction allows us to scale our mission faster and further than ever before.
"Together with Agrolimen, we're not just growing a business, we're shaping the future of dog wellbeing through disciplined growth, exceptional products and innovative customer technology such as our AI powered health screenings," Stafford added.
Ollie will continue to operate as an independent brand with its existing leadership team and U.S. headquarters. No changes are planned to operations or customer experience.
"Ollie has built something special by putting dogs and their people at the center of every decision," said Juan Martin Alonso, CEO of Agrolimen. "We are excited to support the next chapter of Ollie's growth, while preserving the brand's distinct voice, values and ambition."
