Reading Bakery Systems adds leadership across EMEA region

Reading Bakery Systems has appointed Andrew Walker as customer care manager, EMEA, promoted David Welch to director of the Biscuit, Cookie & Cracker Product Line, and hired Marcus Hofmann as sales manager, Europe.

Andrew WalkerReading Bakery SystemsWalker, based in the United Kingdom, reports to Mike Palumbo, director of customer care. He brings experience in customer support leadership, technical field operations and aftermarket operations across Europe. In his role, he will oversee regional service responsiveness, parts support, and modernization and retrofit initiatives across RBS's installed base.

"Expanding our customer care presence in Europe is a critical step in delivering the level of service and long-term partnership our customers expect from RBS," Palumbo said. "Andrew's experience and leadership will play an important role as we continue to build a world-class global customer care organization."

David WelchReading Bakery SystemsWelch's promotion to director puts him in charge of technical sales strategy and product line development for RBS's biscuit, cookie and cracker systems. He will work with global sales teams and lead value engineering initiatives.

Hofmann succeeds Welch as sales manager, Europe. His background includes roles with MIWE, Heuft Industry, König and Fritsch Bakery Systems.
