Mighty Paw has committed an initial $25,000 donation to Nepal flood relief through All Hands & Hearts, an organization operating in Nuwakot, Nepal. Flash flooding along the Nepal-Tibet border has killed more than 1,000 people and displaced tens of thousands, according to the company.
Throughout September, the brand will also donate 50% of eligible sales from its Nepal-made yak cheese products, including Yak Chews, Yak Puffs and Yak Cheese Topper, purchased through MightyPaw.com or the company's TikTok Shop, until total support reaches $50,000. Customers can also donate directly through a dedicated relief page on Mighty Paw's website.
Mighty Paw's yak cheese products are made from chhurpi, a hard Himalayan cheese, using methods the company said have been passed down through generations in Nepal.
"Nepal is more than where these products are made," said Corey Smith, founder of Mighty Paw. "It is home to people and communities who have helped shape Mighty Paw for years."
