Gott Pet products has been owned and operated by the Gottsacker family since 1992. Headquartered in St. Francis, Wisconsin, USA, the company, which has two major brands — Charlee Bear natural dog treats and Hound & Gatos natural pet food — has grown significantly in the last 30 years, all while maintaining its family feel.
“Since its inception, Gott Pet Products has taken Charlee Bear and Hound & Gatos and elevated them to the next level by, among other things, introducing new packaging and product lines,” says Patrick McGarry, chief operating officer of Gott. “Peter Gottsacker, our company's president and my father-in-law, is a veteran in the flavor and ingredient industry (he also serves as president of Wixon Inc., which provides custom taste solutions for the food and beverage industries) and has always had a soft spot for dogs. My brother-in-law, Peter Gottsacker, Jr., joined the Gott team as senior financial analyst two years ago. Together, we’re focused on building a family of pet products driven by our own family's love of pets.”
