Registration is now open for the ONE: The Alltech Ideas Conference (ONE18) to be held on May 20–22, 2018 in Lexington, Kentucky. Register online to attend ONE18 before March 31, 2018 for savings of US$400.
The event will provide pet industry professionals, including manufacturers, with a global networking opportunity. Focus sessions designed to educate will allow attendees to gather insights from companion animal experts and exchange ideas with peers about innovations, challenges and solutions facing their industry.
Topics for the conference include:
- Mega Trends and New Opportunities in Pet Food: Niche or Mainstream?
The outlook for the pet food market is promising, with key drivers in both developed and emerging markets. Preventative and proactive health measures are important issues to consumers, and manufactures are taking advantage of these trends. - Rediscovering Protein: Clean and Sustainable Alternatives
The demand for clean, safe and traceable food is not only impacting human consumption but that of pets as well. Meatless sources of protein are becoming more popular. - Feeding the Microbiome: The Omics Have Arrived
Have we finally found ways to improve well-being by understanding how nutrients interact with pets' genes? Manufacturers can learn about developing a pet food to support heart health, brain function, joint health and overall well-being of pets. - Grow and Protect Your Brand: Develop Raving Fans
When pet owners want to engage with brands, they often look to the internet for that engagement. Pet food brands must market to a generation of "screen-swiping" pet owners. - Improved Health and Immunity Starts in the Bowl
Like their owners, companion animals are living longer, but are they functioning optimally in their later stages of life? Pet food producers must offer nutrition information on packaging that offers consumers a better understanding of how nutrition and immune defenses interact. - Brick and Mortar vs. Virtual Storefront: Pick Your Winner
As e-commerce rises, traditional retailers must compete with other brands that have a strong online presence. Some companies — usually independent retailers — are choosing not to market pet food online at all.
These topics are subject to change as the schedule evolves.
