Orijen Pet Food is working with Disney to celebrate Mufasa: The Lion King, which is releasing in theaters on December 20. The partnership will emphasize the brand’s focus on WholePrey ingredients, inspired by the natural diets of big cats in the wild.
As part of the collaboration, Orijen and Disney created a co-branded media spot showcasing the bond between companions and how it can transform an everyday outing into an extraordinary adventure. The spot aired during NBC’s Sunday Night Football and is also displayed on a digital billboard near Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
At the movie’s star-studded world premiere on December 9 in Los Angeles, Orijen hosted a live silk screen printing station, offering custom bandanas to attendees.
Additionally, the pet food company is sponsoring a sweepstakes to give fans a chance to see Mufasa: The Lion King in theaters. The promotion runs through January 6, 2025, offering entrants a chance to win two movie tickets.
"We're thrilled to celebrate the new Mufasa: The Lion King movie with Disney," said Emily Dowling, chief marketing officer at Champion Petfoods, the maker of Orijen. "We believe that our domestic feline friends need high-quality, WholePrey ingredients to fuel amazing adventures. As a brand, we make more than just pet food – we nourish these epic journeys."
