The US Food and Drug Administration will hold a public meeting on June 6 to discuss the new Food Safety Modernization Act with feed and petfood companies.
The day-long meeting will take place at FDA's campus in White Oak, Maryland, USA. The meeting will give the public an opportunity to share views on implementation of key components of FSMA and hear from FDA staff in charge of implementing the inspeciton and compliance procedures of FSMA. Participants will break out into 75-minute workgroups on the following topics: enforcement authorities, frequency and targeting of facility inspections, prevention control inspections and enhancement of the Reportable Food Registry.
