Humane Products Marketing Inc. recently entered the pet supplement market with the launch of its first product line, under the name Gimme Shelter.
HPM, a Miami, Florida, USA, for-profit business, was established by the non-profit Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet. HPM's profits from the sale of its animal-related products are distributed to support the cause of adoption-guarantee shelters.
The Gimme Shelter brand includes three supplements for dogs: Gimme Health, a multi-vitamin; Gimme Beauty, a skin and coat nutraceutical; and Gimme Strength, a hip and joint supplement. The products may be purchased at www.gimmeshelterpet.com/index.htm.
HPM says it plans to donate more than half of its after-tax profits to participating animal organizations. HPM works with companion-animal organizations that share the adoption-guarantee philosophy of saving all healthy and treatable animals in the organization's care, with euthanasia only reserved for untreatable and unadoptable animals.
