Pakistan explores insects as poultry feed ingredient

In one province of the south Asian state, a new pilot scheme is being launched to produce black soldier fly (BSF) larvae for feeding poultry.

After successful trials at Air University in Punjab province, officials have called for a new project to explore the production of black soldier fly (BSF) larvae.

These insects have potential as a protein-rich and affordable feed for poultry, reports Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
