Darwin’s Natural Pet Products voluntarily recalled six lots of its Natural Selections raw dog and cat foods due to potential Salmonella infection risks for pets and humans, reported Food Safety News. All recalled raw pet foods were shipped directly to consumers in September and early October.

“We recently determined that a few batches of some of our products potentially contain pathogens,” wrote Darwin’s Natural Pet Products on their Facebook page. “Because we ship directly to our customers, we were able to identify those customers who received these products and we have recalled them. If you are a Darwin’s customer and did not receive a notification, it is because you did not receive any of the affected product.”
