Carnivore Meat Company adds pet industry veteran to its leadership team

Dan Horner will lead revenue growth and retail strategy for Carnivore Meat Company’s raw and freeze-dried pet food business.

Carnivore Meat Company has appointed Dan Horner as chief revenue officer, tasking him with leading the company’s revenue strategy, expanding retail partnerships, and accelerating growth across the neighborhood pet channel and emerging markets.

Horner brings 35 years of experience in the pet industry, with prior senior sales leadership roles at Freshpet, Pet Honesty and Purina. The company said he is recognized for his ability to drive commercial strategy in high-growth pet food categories.

For his part, Horner said he is looking forward to working with the Carnivore team and building on the great momentum they’ve created. “Together, we will further our mission of making premium raw pet food more accessible to pet parents," he added.

Carnivore Meat Company, based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, U.S., manufactures raw frozen and freeze-dried pet foods and treats, supplying branded products, private label, co-packing, and ingredients globally. Its brands include Vital Essentials and VE RAW BAR.
